Tools for the Fiber Artist
Crochet Hooks and Knitting Needles
These are a collaboration between Shipyard Point Glassworks and Twin Birch Products of North Carolina. The Twin Birch folks craft the most wonderful wooden needles in a great selection of sizes. I create the colorful glass handles for the crochet hooks and the glass bead/caps for the knitting needles. Each piece is completely unique and so much fun! And every piece comes with its own storage bag made out of a recycled clothing!

Glass Stitch Markers To add even more color and fun to your handiwork. These are available in 3 sizes and tons of colors! When you are done using them, thread them on a cord or chain, pop them on a pair of hoop earrings or string them on a knitting stitch holder and use as a pin! |
Glass Needle Threaders For those of us who can't see quite as well as we used to. A fine stainless steel wire inserted into molten glass makes these funky little threaders much more reliable than those cheezy metal ones we all have in our sewing boxes. No two are alike! |
Orifice Hooks Folks who spin their own yarn with a spinning wheel will get a kick out of these beautiful hooks. These colorful tools will make threading your roving so much easier. |
